CONFIRMED FOR 2011:
ACCORD: (photo) The Accord gets some minor styling changes inside and out, including a new grille and front bumper as well as new seat material for cars with cloth upholstery. Four-cylinder automatic Accords get powertrain improvements that increase fuel economy significantly: 23 MPG city (up 2 MPG) and 34 MPG highway (up 3 MPG). A new SE trim level joins the lineup between the LX-P and EX; it gets heated leather seats with power lumbar adjustment for the driver and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Other new features include a USB audio port for EX sedans and coupes, steering-wheel paddle shifters for EX-L V6 coupes, and a backup camera for all Accords with navigation.
ACCORD CROSSTOUR: The climate control buttons have been re-arranged, with more frequently-used controls positioned closer to the driver.
CIVIC: No changes. A redesigned Civic will be introduced for the 2012 model year.
CR-V: A new SE model enters the lineup between the LX and the EX; it comes with everything on the CR-V LX plus alloy wheels, 6-disc CD changer, and tinted rear windows.
CR-Z: (photo) The CR-Z is an all-new, two-seat hybrid sports coupe. The spiritual successor to Honda's classic CRX, the CR-Z gets a 1.5 liter engine with Honda's Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) hybrid powertrain for a total output of 122 hp and 123 lb-ft of torque, and is offered with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a continuously-variable automatic. More on the CR-Z:
ELEMENT: No changes. Honda will discontinue the Element after the 2011 model year.
FCX CLARITY: No changes.
FIT: All models now come with electronic stability control. (About time!) The Fit Base gains standard cruise control, remote keyless entry, and a USB audio port, while the Fit Sport now comes with floor mats.
INSIGHT: Honda's small hybrid gets standard electronic stability control and new base model priced at $18,950 ($1,600 less expensive than last year's entry-level Insight LX). The base-model Insight gets unique seat fabric and a CD player with just two speakers, and it lacks an alarm. Meanwhile, the Insight LX gains cruise control, a USB audio port, center console and floor mats, while the Insight EX gets steering-wheel-mounted stereo controls.
ODYSSEY: (photo) America's best-selling minivan is all-new for 2011. The new Odyssey is lower and wider than the outgoing van, and Honda touts the "lightning-bolt" beltline that runs below the windows (an attempt to draw attention away from the deep scar of the side-door track that runs right beneath). The Odyssey lineup includes a top-of-the-line Touring Elite model with five LATCH child-seat positions (including the ability to accommodate three child seats in the second row), a wide-screen DVD player with split-screen capability and HDMI interface, a trash-bag ring, and fifteen cupholders.
PILOT: Navigation is now available in the EX-L model.
RIDGELINE: Honda's pickup truck is unchanged for 2011.
